Co-Working – #PendleJelly
Fed up of staring at your own four walls – I know I was – so I set up #PendleJelly.
It’s a small fluid meet up every 1st and 3rd Tuesday in Colne, Lancashire. It’s friendly and informal – and best of all FREE.
Drop in and out as you like, bring your laptop, work or knitting. Catch up and relax, and meet other entrepreneurs in a friendly environment.
The purpose is just to meet and mingle and get some work done – in the presence of others so you don’t go stir crazy at home. We’ll help each other out and gee each other on.
Numbers are small – just enough to sit around a table or two. The wifi is decent and free, a good selection of food if you want it and a coffee with free refills is available for under £1.
Tuesdays 10.30am – 1.30pm at The Wallace Hartley in Colne.
Peer Support – Synergy Social
This is not traditional card shoving, shuffling around the room networking.
This is sit around a table, relax and natter.
We help each other out, we share experiences and bond. We relax, have a drink or two and a bite to eat.
The group is about making real connections and getting out the house!
The numbers are purposefully small – it’s like a get together in your lounge – so a comfy sized small group.
If your nervous – bring a friend, you don’t have to stay for the duration.
Synergy Social is now on a break and restarts in January 2017. Dates TBC.
Other Events I recommend:
LoveLocal Networking, covers Burnley and Pendle – I love it, the Event Director Rachel Kay is really friendly, it’s a fabulous environment and not at all sales/pitchy. Rachel also runs events in Blackburn, Darwen and Hyndburn (M65 corridor).
“Our evening events run monthly. There is no requirement to present to the group. We provide relaxed, friendly networking over tea, coffee and a light supper which takes various forms depending on venue. Name badges and a list of attendees are provided to help facilitate conversation and let you know who’s attending.”Rachel Kay
On the first Thursday of every month a Breakfast Business Club is held at About Coffee in Colne. It’s from 8.30 until 10am and is generally a nice small affair with local business and shop owners present.
